What Is Breastlight?
Breastlight is a handheld Breast Awareness device to enable women to know and understand their breasts better. Breastlight shines a harmless LED light through the breast tissue which illuminates the breast. It is intended to give patients a better view of their breast so they have a full understanding of what their breast should look like normally.
Studies have shown that when using Breastlight the chance of early detection increases. Breastlight is not a substitute for regular mammography but is an extra aid in Breast Awareness.

What Will You See When Using It?
The LED light in Breastlight makes veins and blood vessels visible as dark lines. Overtime you will understand what your breast looks like normally on the inside and will be able to spot changes such as shadows. This will become as natural as understanding how your breasts look and feel from the outside.
How It Works?
Breastlight should be used in a dark room for full visibility. A harmless red light filters through the breast tissue to illuminate the breast. The haemoglobin in red blood cells absorbs the light which results in veins and blood vessels appearing as dark lines. The LED light has no hidden rays and is completely harmless; the Breastlight can be used as often as you would like with no side effects.
Should you notice a dark shadow have this checked immediately. A dark shadow represents a cluster of red blood cells, this abnormality could be a blood filled-cyst or it could be something malignant.
Lumps in the breast tissue and fluid filled cysts will not appear with Breastlight, this makes the device very useful for women with naturally fibrous breast tissue.
Anyone can use the breast light, however those who are older whose breast density has decreased will find it most beneficial.
